5 Things Every Yogi Should Know About Their Anatomy

Radiant Room

Friday 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Vinyasa & Lecture

Taught in English

Suitable for all levels

The functional anatomy in any given yoga pose, tells us how to align our bodies. But how well do we know our bodies? When we understand the biomechanics and unique movement/habits of our own individual anatomy, we are better able to perform each pose and get the greatest benefit from our yoga practice. We find greater ease, build strength quicker and safely, and greatly reduce the risk of injury. In this session we’ll discover Get to know your body and how it moves on the at. This will be part movement part lecture with lots of self discovery.

Creative Sequencing

Radiant Room

Saturday 11:30 am - 12:45 pm

Taught in English

Suitable for all levels

When it comes to planning a yoga class sequence, where do you begin? Whether your are a new teacher, an experienced teacher, or even if you teach from a lineage with a set sequencing pattern, we can still infuse every class with our own unique personality. In this session we will explore different methods of sequencing to help you build smart, safe, and creative classes. We will be moving the whole time, but there will be moments to stop and take notes, so bring your notebooks and pens. Even though this seems mostly geared for yoga teachers, we all have a home practice and can benefit from a little inspiration, so all are welcome.
